Dashboard Home
The Dashboard is the first thing you see after logging in. It provides a quick overview of all your tracked channels and key aggregate metrics.
Stats Cards
At the top of your dashboard, you'll see summary statistics:
Channel Cards
Each tracked channel is displayed as a card showing key information at a glance.
Card Information
- Channel Thumbnail: The channel's profile picture
- Channel Name: Display name of the channel
- Handle: The @username if available
- Subscribers: Current subscriber count
- Videos: Total number of public videos
- Views: Lifetime view count
- Last Updated: When data was last collected
Card Actions
Each channel card has action buttons:
- View Analytics: Opens the detailed analytics page for that channel
- Visit Channel: Opens the YouTube channel in a new tab
- Remove: Stops tracking this channel
Subscriber Distribution Chart
The dashboard includes an interactive chart showing how channels are distributed across subscriber counts on our platform.
What It Shows
The distribution chart visualizes:
- How many channels fall into each subscriber bracket
- Where your tracked channels sit in the distribution
- The overall landscape of YouTube channels we track
This helps you understand how your channels compare to the broader YouTube ecosystem.
Navigation
The main navigation bar provides quick access to key areas:
- Dashboard: Return to the main dashboard
- Analytics: Go directly to analytics for your selected channel
- Billing: Manage subscription and payments
Profile Menu
Click your name in the top right to access:
- My Profile: View account information and session details
- Billing: Quick access to billing page
- Dark Mode: Toggle between light and dark themes
- Logout: Sign out of your account
Dark Mode
SocialDataCharts supports both light and dark themes. Toggle between them using the profile menu.
Quick Actions
Adding a Channel
From the dashboard, you can quickly add a new channel using the input field at the top. Just paste a YouTube URL, handle, or channel ID and click "Add Channel."
Accessing Analytics
Click the "Analytics" button on any channel card to dive into detailed analytics. You can also click on the channel thumbnail or name.
Managing Channels
For more channel management options, click "Manage Channels" or navigate to the Channels page from the menu.
Mobile Experience
The dashboard is fully responsive and works great on mobile devices. On smaller screens:
- Channel cards stack vertically for easy scrolling
- The navigation collapses into a mobile menu
- All features remain accessible
